We teamed up with Diginate to offer you a fabulous prize – 50 Digital Artist stickers plus the chance to create some stickers and art prints of your own with our favourite printing company. The challenge? Tell us what you’d do with them in 50 words or less. The competition ended on 31st August 2011 and after a week of wading through the entries we’ve come up with a winner. Step forward Veronika Tritschoks, who told us:
“I would plaster my new living room tree (http://fav.me/d3kvfzu) with the owls and then I will make sure that everybody can see those cute designs.
This I achieve by putting them on all my things and carry them through the living pulse of Leipzig!”
Excellent answer. I’m now firmly of the belief that all living rooms should have a tree plastered with owls and I have resolved to get myself one forthwith. I cannot publicly condone the stickerbombing of one of Germany’s most beautiful cities, of course, but it’s great to know that the good burghers of Leipzig will be treated to the sight of Matt Daniels’ wonderful designs as Veronika goes about her daily business. Bonus factoid: The five animal designs and their colours were each chosen to represent one of Team DA (plus some of the management because heck, that’s what people get into management for, right, the stickers?). Each of them is our favourite colour and critter. The editor in chief of our creative department, Jo, is the purple cat, while Imagine’s head of art, Ross, is the grey wolf. DA’s sub editor Hannah is the pink flamingo, while senior designer Carly is the green frog. And I’m Captain Obvious, of course!
